Ch.8 know yourself and journal

After completing and reading chapter eight it really made me think about the differences in high school on college and not to mention the different schedules and complexity in responsiblities. Ive really started to concentrate on going to school everyday and doing what it takes to not fall behind. Ive been really busy in my english class's and been writting a ton of essays. Ive found its very easy for me to write well be exceding what ive already acomplished helps to push me to become better and better every time i write a paper.

Campus Movie Fest

I thought the campus movie fest would be a bunch of un thoughtout videos and the whole presentation and fest itself would be unorganized and out of control. Yet it wasnt the whole festivle was very organized and the movies were crazy funny. I was suprised how into the movie making process the makers were and the fact how thoughtout and comical they were. I didnt like how ever how most of the cameras were shaking and didnt really seam like they had that good of camera men. But the editing, scripts, and actors were great.

ch. 7 know yourself and journal

Sleeping and school schedules can be so confusing. Im always going to school on time but what time i goto bed and wake up at are all over the place. Just the other night i went to bed at around 5pm. Some nights its as late at mid night waking at 6am to get ready for class is just misserable. I often find myself coming home from school relaxing and never get on my homework. Its not a great habbit and something i need to look into about breaking.

I straight up suck at studing and tests. I always complete my homework by just doin and not retaining information which later bites me in the butt. I need to come home after school and start to concentrate on getting work done. Its not worth worrying about when your gonna do your homework all night while your trying to relax.

today in class we talked about different camera angles and script writting. We discussed short hand meanings for different words for the world and action of writting small screen plays. i found it interesting how we can just watch tv yet alot more work goes into the action of writting and creating a film is. Specific camera angles are positioned for a more entertaining and specific purpose than to just film someone.

Today in class we discussed our in class project and will be filming this friday before our movie night thing ma bob we are attending as a class. Im excited to start filming, i feel my group as good mojo and we can all flow ideas without worrying what other may think. We all get along well and strive to achieve the best video possible.

Whats her name who helps us in class??? hmhmhmhmh Anna! Anna is very helpful and understands where every students is coming from. She helps the teacher and students communicate more effectively and is some what of a middle man understanding the point of view of both the teacher and students. She helps the class by aiding in discussion and further understanding of materials. It shows that she loves the class subject and is very willing to help and aid all students succed. Muse class's have taken out the crazy ammount of stress and relivied it with a more guided learning experience. Its just a different class rather than a math or english is just something more entertaining and a different experience.

These activites were very much like those in ch. 4 yet focused more on how we approach challenges and how important people in our lives play a role in our activites. The journal focused on regreats and knowing the facts and showing that you are aware of everything your attempting.

i liked being able to question and think about my strengths and weakness's. Things i enjoy to do and in which ways i do them. these questions were very informative about learning how i learn and work as a person with oppurtunities.

the know yourself exercise in ch.9 were very informative about how to claim words as yours or as someone elses without risking plagiarism. also knowing wat my speaking strengths and weakness were are very helpful considering im taking comm 20 which is public speaking.

the your journal exercise is very informative as well because we talk about what we found bad or distracting about other peoples speechs so that we can look at wat we do and how we can change it. Also the dos and donts such as brain farts are best to get rid of by just talking to someone and freeing your mind.

im planning to write about how technology has changed communication within daily life and company's. Id like to interview my neighbor who runs his whole buisness through his phone and can send messages to over 100 people at on time. he also uses nextel and can walkie talkin anyone at any time. also how communication in daily life has changed.

My eventfull nite

I went to the sharks preseason game right when i got outa class leaving all my home for the midnight deadline. I got it all done and had a good day. Im happy with how it all played out but i have to babysit tomorrow night yet theres a car meet so i dont know how im gonna make both of them happen.

a bad habbit is spending so much time watching tv and not doing homework.

A couple hours here and there really helped to acomplish getting my homework done sooner than later.

Im going to start better planning out my schedule so i can attend school a sooner time everyday.

I dont have a roomate but my brother is just as bad as one. hes a really dirty person where as im really clean and often find myself cleaning up after him.

I have never faced prejuduice or discrimination.

Both Dan and I are fairly young with very important jobs and find that people think we are less and no qualifyed because of our age.

Ive recently been attending alot of football games and parties and have been having alot more fun that what high school was.

Posture and touch tell alot about how poeple are and how they act. Body language is a key part of any conversation.

Ive a very die hard republican but every single gay person ive meet has been nothing but nice to me so its hard to really put a finger on where i stand on this topic.

I try to overcome barriers by taking on new situations and people.

Girls for me are actually really easy to talk to because im a funny easy going guy.

Today Jackson and I participated in a activity that we had to mine out what each other was doing and not talk. 9-9-9

Today was so hecktic. I had class for nine hours that felt like 20 and have tons todo after school. I came home from a long day and had many chores and things todo. I ended up finishing my custom car audio subwoofer box. Im pretty happy with it but im nervous about bolting it down since hit is going to be drilled in right next to my gas tank. Also i think i left a couple screws on the driveway so lets hope i dont get a flat in the morning

Day after labor day

I had tons of fun with my four day weekend. I ended up staying home and catching up on alot of sleep. My class's start at 7 30 and 8 every monday - thursday and i have a 25 minute communte so I often find myself waking up very early. I also had work four days in a row and with a lack of sleep that didnt make it any more fun.

The lecture was very insightful and very helpful. He talked about future tools we can use during our major reports. We were showed to how easily reference books and authors. I never realized how many online sources are available to us online. Books and magazines dating back 100 years ago. I never knew that the library was both a public library that 2nd as a library for San Jose State University. Also that books that are not available at the San Jose State campus library can be ordered from surrounds libraries. The campus pays for online resources that are available and open to all students. We can also book laptops in the basement of the library that can be used for up to four hours at a time verses the computers which are only a hour and are often taken up by homeless people and you think I'm joking. There's also exhibits and many other useful learning tools located around the library that are widely excepted by most teachers.

my eventful night

came home from school then was and waxed the car for a couple hours waxed and buffed. then went to 8 o clock fantasy football draft and just got back. my team is looking really good and i could be bringing home some good money by the end of the season. looking forward to the 5 day weekend. happy labor day to all

2nd blog out first day of school

there is so much reading todo. Even tho im more worried about falling behind i feel that i have a need to stay up with all my work. Falling behind from what ive herd from mentors and peers is the worst thing todo. Stay up on all my work is defentinetly going to be a challenge im going to have to face and try my best to conqour. looking forward to the most challenging semester of my college life???

My First Day of School

The hardest thing about the first day of school was finding where everything was. Some buildings are very confusing and many many seperate connected buildings per building. Also since i'm a commuter is all the streets being one way and parking garage rules and regulations are confusing. But I feel that I have a better sense of where all my class's and my daily schedule consists off. I haven't had any trouble with homework or being late for class's so hopefully I can keep that up.
